What A Difference A Day Makes

What A Difference A Day Makes!

What a difference a day makes.
Twenty-four little hours.
Brought the sun and the flowers,
Where there used to be rain.

Bud Day 1

We have some great rose bushes in our yard and they continue to reward us season after season with an abundance of flowers.  On Sunday, I snapped a couple of pictures to share.  The first of a single bud and the second of a trio of blooms.

Trio Day 1

Keep in mind the trio is on the SAME plant. Two are a beautiful “tequila sunrise” color while the one in the center is much “pinker”.  Now I know Cathy Rayburn-Trobaugh will come along and tell  me that pinker is NOT a word but I’m going out on a limb here - literally.

Bud Day 2

Today I went to check on these little beauties and they had changed tremendously.  What a difference a day makes!  The single bud was now open into a full flower and the trio were totally showing off their splendor.

Trio Day 2

Of course, the song What a Difference A Day Makes kept playing over and over in my head and I just had to share that with you as well.  Performed by over a dozen artists including Dinah Washington, the Dorsey Brothers, Tony Bennett and Dinah Shore it was also included in the soundtrack over 9 feature films.

Roses and a song - a beautiful ending to a beautiful day.
